ASTM A335 P22 pipe is a high-temperature alloy steel pipe, which belongs to 2.25Cr-1Mo chromium-molybdenum high-temperature ferritic steel, with excellent long-lasting strength, high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and other characteristics.

Molybdenum (Mo): 0.87-1.13%
Phosphorus (P): 0.025% max
Sulfur (S): 0.025% max

The mechanical properties of ASTM A335 P22 steel pipe are as follows:
Yield Strength: ≥ 205 MPa
Tensile Strength: ≥ 415 MPa

ASTM A335 P22 steel pipes are widely used in the following fields:

ASTM A335 P22 Seamless Steel Pipe Production Process

The production process of ASTM A335 P22 pipe mainly includes material selection, smelting, rolling, heat treatment and other steps. Among them, the smelting process usually adopts the killed steel smelting process of electric furnace smelting + ladle refining (LF) + vacuum degassing (VD)/electroslag remelting (SER) to ensure that the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the steel pipe meet the standard requirements. The rolling process includes hot rolling, cold rolling (drawing), overall hot expansion, punching-drawing hot forging + machining and other methods to ensure the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the steel pipe. The heat treatment process includes two steps: normalizing and tempering to improve the strength and toughness of the steel pipe.
