ASTM A179 seamless pipe is a cold drawn low carbon steel pipe used in heat exchangers, condensers and similar heat transfer equipment.
ASTM A179 seamless pipe has a wide range of sizes, usually including the following specifications:
Outer diameter: 6.35 mm to 76.2 mm
Wall thickness: 1.2 mm to 12 mm
Length: fixed or unfixed length, usually 6 meters or longer.

Tensile strength: minimum 325 MPa
Yield strength: minimum 180 MPa
